The Critics Are In !

 Hey guys and welcome to my final production blog of AICE Media! It has been a long journey from going to AS level to A Level and you guys have followed me the entire time. This short film has probably been the hardest project due to all the moving parts of it. By moving parts, I mean so many aspects such as the website, the postcard, AND the movie. But, now that we reshot more film for our movie , we were finally within the time frame. Now that we were in the time frame, it was time to hear from the critics. So, in our group we each got 3 different people to view our film and to give us feedback. I was able to get 3 of my friends to view the film. First I sent it to my friend Isa, who is also in media. The feedback that I got from her was that she didn't like the "scary" music in the beginning but she understood the concept. To give more clarity, the music in the beginning  was meant to give off comedy from the quick transition of scary music to upbeat music. This was a decision made by Andres' and I, Kyra and Yasmin weren't too sold on this idea. Another piece of criticism I received is she seemed to be confused on why Kyra was both the nurse and wife. The whole meaning behind this decision was because the guy was in the hospital the only person he has been really "seeing" was Kyra. So, she so happened to keep popping up in his dream. But, we also received feedback about the confusion between the past and present and the order of certain clips. So, once everyone got all their feedback we would send it all in our group chat and decide what we though. We ended up taking some things back from the critic by adding in a filter between flashbacks so it is more crystal clear and we also made our titles more bigger. We decided to go very simple for our titles as we wanted the audience to really just pay attention to our film because its one of those films where you won't understand it unless you pay close attention, especially due to it being a mystery. Well, that's it everyone, it has been a long journey and thank you for being here with me, this is Marvin officially signing off!

  Scene One- The first scene will start with Mya opening up the door to the courtroom. She will introduce herself, welcome the viewer to the courtroom, and then go look for the rest of the members. The camera will pan around the room to give a full view of the scene. Finally the camera will turn to Charlie and Kai.  Scene Two- The second scene will start with Charlie introducing himself. Creative Critical Reflection Blog

CCR BLOG   1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent   social groups or issues?   Our commercial product both uses and challenges commercial conventions. In normal school PSA's, they will usually have some type of message at the end. Within our commercial, we made sure to end our commercial with the message we wanted to get across which was to promote our mock trial team and we ended it with the introduction of all together as one. In one way it challenges conventions because usually school PSA's use normal clothing such as t-shirts, hoodies, pants, etc. Our commercial we took that typical clothing up a notch, and we wore our court attire because it matched more the school PSA we wanted to get across. I think our commercial represents social groups because it shows a group of people who are apart of a team and the group is diverse as well and shows representation. 2. Intro Blog

Hello, I am Marvin and I am the son of a full Haitian dad and a full African-American mother. I am the oldest child out of all my siblings. On my mom's side I have a little sister named Malaysia and I have a 3 month old brother on my dad's side named Mayson. In the future, I hope to be a lawyer and maybe even go into politics.  I am not sure what type of lawyer I want to be yet due to the vast variety of types of lawyers there are or what law school I would want to go to. For undergraduate if I stay in state I for sure want to go to the University of Florida. If I'm being optomisitc, I would love to be able to go to an Ivy League school for undergraduate school but using my bright futures might be the best option. Right now, I am currently the Class of 2025 President and I am also apart of the Mock Trial Team.
