"THE GLITCH" OPENING SEQUENCE

Hey guys and welcome back! It has been an insane journey and I can't believe that the movie is finished. There has been ups and downs with us having to remove parts, make up for time, and etc but, I hope you guys enjoy the final product and we did this to the best we could! Watch the opening sequence to our short film, "The Glitch" down below!

Editing Blog: Adding Scenes + Making Changes

Hey guys and welcome back to my final production blog! You previously heard how I had my friends peer-review what I had for my short film so far. In the next blog, I post you guys will finally get to see the finishing product. In this blog I will tell you about the process I went through re-editing. I decided to re-edit because not only did we film more stuff but we also got feedback. I continued editing on the app CapCut on my phone because it was so easy to work with. First, I added in the new ending that we came up with. When editing though, I realized that the ending was kind of short. So throughout the rest of my editing I knew I had to make up for the timing in the titles. I made sure that I used the same effects on all the titles except for one. The one title that had a different effect was the actual title of the movie. I wanted to use a different effect for the title because I wanted to add a more enhanced glitch effect and the reason I did this is because I really want the v

Production Blog: Peer Review

Hey guys and welcome back to our blog! In my previous blogs, you heard that I filmed. Then, you heard about me editing my short film on CapCut. Next, you heard how I had to re-film and had to cut out some scenes. Today, you are going to hear about peer- reviewing. What this means is I got my friends to look at our movie. When they look at my short filmed, I asked them to give their thoughts both positive and negative. In total I got two people to peer review my short film and I'm going to tell you about that. So, first let's talk about things that were said about the titles. First,  most really were in love with the titles and they thought that the titles matched the genre perfectly.  They also thought that the titles were really unique and something they haven't seen while still being "on genre" and they liked the effects matching the movie title . But, while that was said from one of my friends there was another one of my friends who had an opposing view. That

Production Blog: Re-Filming

Hey guys and welcome back to my blog! In my past few blogs, you heard that I finally filmed my short film and edited it. But, there was a problem. While, we filmed and began editing we still were missing stuff that was vital to the storyline. We still needed an ending. We couldn't film everything the first time because it was nighttime and it was getting really late. When we first filmed, we couldn't find a family restroom. We were contemplating about it but we just ended up deciding to cut that aspect out of the film. But, like I said we still needed an ending. First off, this was kind of hard re-shooting because we had to make sure everything still looked similar. For example, we had to wear the exact same clothes and shoes. Our female characters also had to put their hair in the exact same way. When we re-filmed, we tried filming the ending car scene. To remind you, this was the scene where the kidnapper would jump out the backseat after our main character got in the car. W

Production Blog: Editing Blog

Hey guys and welcome back to my blog. In my last blog you heard how we finally filmed! Not everything went as we planned but we had to make do. Today I am going to be telling you about the editing process of our film. I actually edited the film on my phone for the most part. The editing process took a very long time, longer than I expected. If I had to give a number, I would say this process took a total of 2-3 hours. But, we knew we had to make up for our filming aspect so I did what I had to do. We edited our short film on this app called CapCut. CapCut is a very popular editing app which I have used in the past. What I mean by this is I love how you don't have to be the most experienced at editing and your edits can still come out great. When editing, the first thing I did was gather the clips. Once I did this, I started to think about all the titles needed. When editing this, I took inspiration from a previous movie I researched. What I did intentionally, I made sure the effec
