Fine-Tuning “Echoes of Awakening”

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! We’ve done it. We’ve planned, we filmed , and now we have edited. Now our plan was to distribute the movie to critics first before we actually submit the movie. But, before we do that I suggested a group meet up for fine tuning and final approval of our movie between the four of us. So, instead of meeting after school we decided to meet during our study halls this time. We thought this would be much more easier for the review process. So, our group met and we each came with our tasks to present to the group in its final product. There were a lot of reasons why I wanted to do this final group meet up. First , this was because we didn’t want our critics to focus on things that we could easily fix and see ourselves. Secondly, were we doing this for a class so we were going to get a grade which we wanted to make sure we had the best chance to maximize our score. Thirdly, it allowed us to make any final changes to sound/effects, the small things. So , we met up and each group mate came with their products. I was in charge of the website so I came with the finished website. Yasmin was in charge of the postcard marketing aspect so she brought the final design and Andres and Kyra both brought the film. So we first reviewed the marketing for the movie which would be the post card and website. After we reviewed this , our group wanted to make the postcard more cohesive with the website but this was an easy fix. All we had to do was change some colors and fonts around. Then we reviewed the movie and we decided to just lower the music a little bit for the ending scene. But, that’s it folks, after we talked some more, we were ready to begin distributing our film, thank you for reading my blog!

WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG!

Hello everyone, it’s Marvin and I know it’s been a while but WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG! Last time you saw me I was a newbie to the media world but so much has changed. Now I’m in A level media and I completed my AICE diploma. But, even though I completed my diploma I still decided to continue taking some AICE classes because I just fell in love with them , for example media. I’m now a junior and next year I’m going to be a senior and I have to start applying for college. It’s pretty scare how fast life is moving because when people told me high school went fast, I didn’t believe it. It felt like I was just a freshman yesterday sitting in AICE General Paper and marine science and global perspectives. Now , I’m in two a level courses and taking AP classes on top of that. But since I’ve finished AICE, I would say my hardest class I took would be AICE European History. I really thought I wouldn’t pass the exam but when I got my score back I almost burst into tears because that was the last r...

Production Blog

Production Blog Welcome back everyone! We finally finished filming our commercial. Our group worked so well together when filming the commercial and we all contributed towards the direction the commercial took. When we were filming, we kept thinking very hard about the shots and my group and I were very mindful to use different types of shots when we were filming so we can have a variety. When filming some of our shots on this day, there were some problems where some of the specific scenes did not look natural. One example of this was our 3rd scene. In this scene, one of our subjects was fake sleeping and it did not look as real as possible and in order to fix this problem, my group and I did multiple shots of the scenes and chose the best ones. For our second scene, we had arranged the set properly. We had people sit in certain places,  stand in certain places , and look in a specific direction when talking. For all our scenes, we had our subjects have some input as to how w...

Group Blog

Hello everyone and thank you for finding my group blog for my music video. I had a group for my commercial which was composed of Mya, Kyra, and I. But, for this project our group has gotten smaller and is now composed of just Mya and I. Kyra decided she wanted to work with a new group this time which we fully respect and we both still are great friends with Kyra. I chose to continue working with Mya because of her work ethic. Mya is great when it comes to group project because she gets stuff done. When we did our commercial, Mya would always remind Kyra and I in a group chat when we had due dates for the commercials. Mya would also always get her part of the project done within enough time for the rest of us to review it and make any changes if we needed to but there were always hardly any changed needed to be made. Another reason I decided to work with Mya again was because of her leadership when filming. When we were filming our commercial Mya would take charge without taking ov...
