WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG!

Hello everyone, it’s Marvin and I know it’s been a while but WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG! Last time you saw me I was a newbie to the media world but so much has changed. Now I’m in A level media and I completed my AICE diploma. But, even though I completed my diploma I still decided to continue taking some AICE classes because I just fell in love with them , for example media. I’m now a junior and next year I’m going to be a senior and I have to start applying for college. It’s pretty scare how fast life is moving because when people told me high school went fast, I didn’t believe it. It felt like I was just a freshman yesterday sitting in AICE General Paper and marine science and global perspectives. Now , I’m in two a level courses and taking AP classes on top of that. But since I’ve finished AICE, I would say my hardest class I took would be AICE European History. I really thought I wouldn’t pass the exam but when I got my score back I almost burst into tears because that was the last result I was waiting on to see if I could finish my AICE diploma in 2 years. But, enough with AICE , let’s talk about me so for anyone who is new to my blog can get to know me. For my first timers, I was born and raised in Florida. I am the oldest of my 3 siblings, I have a little sister who is 10 and a baby brother who is 1. I really want to pursue law in the future as I currently compete competitively in law completions , mock trial. But as a backup I think I really want to go into creative direction and marking for brands and companies. They sound really different but u just find both so interesting in their own unique way. Some of my favorite music artist are Rod Wave and Drake. But since this class more so focuses on film Some of my favorite movies are The Hangover, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, and Just Mercy. For TV shows, I really enjoy How To Get Away With Murder and Stranger Things I tend to keep rewarding these same shows over and over, I have probably watched them 5 times each. But, that’s enough for now, I’m so excited for you guys to be on this journey with me as I tackle my short film project, come back to find out who I’m working with! Bye!

 Hey guys and welcome back to my blog. In my last blog you heard how we finally filmed! Not everything went as we planned but we had to make do. Today I am going to be telling you about the editing process of our film. I actually edited the film on my phone for the most part. The editing process took a very long time, longer than I expected. If I had to give a number, I would say this process took a total of 2-3 hours. But, we knew we had to make up for our filming aspect so I did what I had to do. We edited our short film on this app called CapCut. CapCut is a very popular editing app which I have used in the past. What I mean by this is I love how you don't have to be the most experienced at editing and your edits can still come out great. When editing, the first thing I did was gather the clips. Production Blog: Filming Blog

 Hey guys and welcome back to my blog!  Guess what, we filmed! My group mate and I finally filmed. Mya and I filmed at Sawgrass Mall, a mall near both of our houses. Filming took about a two hours in total. We were on a time crunch so we had to hurry . The person we ended up using to play the kidnapper was both Mya and I's friend Joey. We picked Joey because  fit the type of person we wanted to play that character.  But, Joey ended up not being able to come last minute which we started to panic. The main problem we had when filming was finding a location. Specifically , it was hard for our group to find a family bathroom that fit how we wanted it to look. We wanted a family bathroom so that we can all go inside and film inside the bathroom with everyone helping out. We ended up not being able to find a family restroom. We looked all over the mall and couldn't find one and we all started to freak out. But, we couldn't make one appear so we just decided to scrap that s...

 Research: Music Videos Conventions and Codes    My group is doing a pop song for our music video. In most pop genre music videos, the audience usually watches people sing the lyrics to the song within the video. A lot of things are subject to the meaning or theme of the song and how the artist wants to get that across within the music video They usually wear costumes that go with the theme of the music video , so for example if the theme of the video involves them performing for a crowd they usually wear nice clothing like dresses, suits, etc. If the theme is midcentury, they usually wear old style clothing like knight armor, long skirts, etc. If the theme is casual, they wear casual clothing like t shirts, jeans, shorts, and sneakers. Props are also usually subject to the theme of the video. If they are performing in the music videos they might have microphones, a microphone stand, and a stage.
