Production Blog: Finding the Mask

Hey guys and welcome back to my blog! It has been a long journey with having to research first all the different genres and titles. We are finally in the production stages of our final task and are about to start with making our film. Today I want to talk with you guys about the first step of our production. The first step of our production was getting props. The props we need for the opening sequence is a mask for our antagonist. We specifically want a black mask for our sequence. We want black because we feel it will represent danger even more. I went to go get props with my group-mate Mya. Mya and I went to get the props from a store. The store we went to was Party City. We went to a party city that was near our house. When we walked in we went to the mask section within the store. When we were in the section there was so many different masks. We found 2 black masks in the mask section that we liked. Because we liked both we were indecisive about which to choose. One was like a cotton black mask and had an opening on the nose. and one was more plastic. Another was a mask with just hole openings. We decided to go with the plastic one because it looked more scary, we thought the cotton gave off more robber vibes, and the plastic was less unexpected. Scene One- The first scene will start with Mya opening up the door to the courtroom. She will introduce herself, welcome the viewer to the courtroom, and then go look for the rest of the members. The camera will pan around the room to give a full view of the scene. Finally the camera will turn to Charlie and Kai. Scene Two- The second scene will start with Charlie introducing himself. He would state his name and then, similar to a lawyer examining a witness, will ask Kai to introduce herself. After Kai says her name the camera will pan back to Mya who will go looking for the other members. Scene Three- The third scene will jump cut to Joey asleep on a patio bench. Mya will walk into frame and wake him up. Once awake he will introduce himself to the camera. Scene Four- The fourth scene will start with Kyra and I on a different bench. We will be in the middle of a conversation when Mya walks up to us and has us introduce ourselves. After we both introduce ourselve...

Storyboard Blog First Scene- In the first scene, a couple is madly in love. They have just came off of a date and the girl has a rose in her hand given to her by her significant other. They are walking holding hands down the pathway. Second Scene- In the second scene, the significant other breaks up with the girl. This absolutely crushes her and she becomes very emotional. She becomes this emotional not only because of the breakup but also because of how shocking and off guard it was. Third Scene- In the Third scene , the girl turns to something that she always knows will make her feel better. She puts on her headphones to try to get over the heartbreak that her boyfriend just put her through and she is trying to cope with her feelings. Fourth Scene- After the girl puts on her headphones , she goes to her phone and turns on a song. This is the part where the music will come in and begin playing.
