Production Blog: Camera

Hey guys and welcome back to my blog. We are still continuing the journey for our final task. Today I want to talk with you about a bump in the road we had. One of the bumps in the road we had was about finding equipment. The specific equipment we were trying to find was a camera. We wanted to film with a camera because we thought it would be more clear. Our thought process was if the camera was more clear our opening sequence would look more professional. As I thought about it, I thought more about how we couldn't use my camera. The reason we couldn't use the camera is because the lens was cracked. This became a problem as we really wanted to use a camera and mine was broken. The next person to go to was Mya's brother. So, Mya called her brother but this led to another problem. The problem was that Mya's brother wouldn't be in town at the time we wanted to film. Our next idea was to rent a camera from school. We were trying to avoid this because the school cameras are kind of confusing. But, we didn't know anyone else with a camera that would be easier to use. So, we went to the media room at our school. Once we got there we asked our teachers to use one of the camera's and they said yes. So, we have a camera to film with and now we just have to figure out how to actually use it to perfection. Scene One- The first scene will start with Mya opening up the door to the courtroom. She will introduce herself, welcome the viewer to the courtroom, and then go look for the rest of the members. The camera will pan around the room to give a full view of the scene. Finally the camera will turn to Charlie and Kai. Scene Two- The second scene will start with Charlie introducing himself. He would state his name and then, similar to a lawyer examining a witness, will ask Kai to introduce herself. After Kai says her name the camera will pan back to Mya who will go looking for the other members. Scene Three- The third scene will jump cut to Joey asleep on a patio bench. Mya will walk into frame and wake him up. Once awake he will introduce himself to the camera. Scene Four- The fourth scene will start with Kyra and I on a different bench. Storyboard Blog First Scene- In the first scene, a couple is madly in love. They have just came off of a date and the girl has a rose in her hand given to her by her significant other. They are walking holding hands down the pathway. Second Scene- In the second scene, the significant other breaks up with the girl. This absolutely crushes her and she becomes very emotional. She becomes this emotional not only because of the breakup but also because of how shocking and off guard it was. Third Scene- In the Third scene , the girl turns to something that she always knows will make her feel better. She puts on her headphones to try to get over the heartbreak that her boyfriend just put her through and she is trying to cope with her feelings. Fourth Scene- After the girl puts on her headphones , she goes to her phone and turns on a song. This is the part where the music will come in and begin playing.
