Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! Today, I want to tell you about some of the planning process that's been happening for my music video. So originally, my group member and I decided to do a song called "Starboy" by The Weeknd. But then we had a change of plans after some discussion. We decided to change it to a song that is more known and more popular. We knew we still wanted to do a song by The Weeknd but just pick a more popular one. So, we started to text about it and it took us about 15 minutes to finalize the song. After talking it over, my group mate was the one who originally came up with the idea. I decided to let my group mate be the more main decision maker since I was the main person who decided Starboy. When I asked my group mate to decide, she ended up picking the song "Save Your Tears: Remix" by The Weeknd and Ariana Grande. I thought this song was such a good pick for our music video. I thought this was a good pick as well because it was still by one of my favorite artist and it had another artist we both liked on the song. Another reason I liked it was because of the mood of the song. Starboy had a more dark type mood towards it and we thought would require us to film at nighttime. "Save Your Tears" we agreed had a more bright and happy mood to it. Because of the happy mood we thought it had, we would be able to film in the daytime. Also another reason why we both liked the new song, "Save Your Tears" is because of the wide variety of options it gave. When we were reviewing "Starboy" we had a hard time coming up with a storyboard. For our storyboard, we wanted to tell a story, we were stuck when how we could tell a story with that song. We thought the song "Save Your Tears" would give us more leeway when deciding a storyboard. Well thank you everyone for reading my blog, make sure you come back and read my next blog!
