Group Blog

 Hello everyone and thank you for finding my group blog for my music video. I had a group for my commercial which was composed of Mya, Kyra, and I. But, for this project our group has gotten smaller and is now composed of just Mya and I. Kyra decided she wanted to work with a new group this time which we fully respect and we both still are great friends with Kyra. I chose to continue working with Mya because of her work ethic. Mya is great when it comes to group project because she gets stuff done. When we did our commercial, Mya would always remind Kyra and I in a group chat when we had due dates for the commercials. Mya would also always get her part of the project done within enough time for the rest of us to review it and make any changes if we needed to but there were always hardly any changed needed to be made. Another reason I decided to work with Mya again was because of her leadership when filming. When we were filming our commercial Mya would take charge without taking over. She would tell us to use different shots and make sure we had a variety to choose from. I think this would be a helpful aspect for our music video because we are going to have to use extras which could be hard to work with sometimes.  For this project we decided to do a song by The Weeknd. The Weeknd is an artist from Canada and we chose to do his song "Starboy". We decided this song after brainstorming song ideas through text. We knew we wanted to do a song by The Weeknd but couldn't figure out the right one. Mya and I are together a lot in her car and whenever we are driving we tend to play music via bluetooth. When we do this the song "Starboy" tends to be played a lot. We always sing and car dance along to the song because it has such a good beat and is so catchy. I am so happy we chose this song and especially happy we are doing a song by The Weeknd because I love his music and Mya is a big fan as well.

  Scene One- The first scene will start with Mya opening up the door to the courtroom. She will introduce herself, welcome the viewer to the courtroom, and then go look for the rest of the members. The camera will pan around the room to give a full view of the scene. Finally the camera will turn to Charlie and Kai.  Scene Two- The second scene will start with Charlie introducing himself. CCR BLOG   1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent   social groups or issues?   Our commercial product both uses and challenges commercial conventions. In normal school PSA's, they will usually have some type of message at the end. Within our commercial, we made sure to end our commercial with the message we wanted to get across which was to promote our mock trial team and we ended it with the introduction of all together as one. In one way it challenges conventions because usually school PSA's use normal clothing such as t-shirts, hoodies, pants, etc. Our commercial we took that typical clothing up a notch, and we wore our court attire because it matched more the school PSA we wanted to get across. I think our commercial represents social groups because it shows a group of people who are apart of a team and the group is diverse as well and shows representation. 2. Intro Blog

Hello, I am Marvin and I am the son of a full Haitian dad and a full African-American mother. I am the oldest child out of all my siblings. On my mom's side I have a little sister named Malaysia and I have a 3 month old brother on my dad's side named Mayson. In the future, I hope to be a lawyer and maybe even go into politics.  I am not sure what type of lawyer I want to be yet due to the vast variety of types of lawyers there are or what law school I would want to go to. For undergraduate if I stay in state I for sure want to go to the University of Florida. If I'm being optomisitc, I would love to be able to go to an Ivy League school for undergraduate school but using my bright futures might be the best option. Right now, I am currently the Class of 2025 President and I am also apart of the Mock Trial Team.
