WHO AM I WORKING WITH?

Hi everyone it’s Marvin and welcome back to my blog! Now, I’m my last blog I got to reintroduce myself to you all but this blog is different. Since I’m in A level media now, I have to do a short task. But when doing a big project like that , you first have to think about who do you want to work with? Well, that’s what this blog is all about , you’re going to learn who I’m working with for my short film project! For my short film this time, I am working with my great friends Yasmin Harebin, Kyra Myers , and Andres Santana. As you can see , this time I  chose to work in a quad group. I chose to work with a quad because last time while I didn’t have to do the work alone, it was still a lot just working in a duo. Since this project is 2x double the work as last time , I felt I needed an even bigger group so that the work can be divided more equally between all of us. Now last time , I worked with my great friend , Mya, but I couldn’t work with her because she graduated last year. But , I am just as honored to work with my current group. I’m my group, not only will the work be more divided putting less work on all of us but, it’ll be easier for us to be collaborative for our film. What I mean by that is Andres and I have media studies at the same time and Kyra and Yasmin have media studies at the same time. So , for my last group , Mya and I didn’t have media at the same time so it was sometimes hard to work together because we were in different places. But, with this group I will be able to work with the, actually in class on our project and this will make us not procrastinate as much. Another reason why I’m glad I’m working with this group is because we can all use our strengths and put them together to make the best movie ever. For example, Kyra and I are very good at digital and creative design. This will be good because since this time we have to market our movie, we will come up with creative strategies to ensure an audience for our movie. On the other hand, Andres is very good at filming and editing and This will help us to make sure that our movie has all the genre elements within the editing process that we would want and with the angles we need to film. But, also yasmin is very good at directing she’s going to make sure that our movie storyline makes sense and that we have all the takes we need. With this group, I have no doubt that we will make an amazing film and work together so well while having fun in the process! This is Marvin , signing off !

  Scene One- The first scene will start with Mya opening up the door to the courtroom. She will introduce herself, welcome the viewer to the courtroom, and then go look for the rest of the members. The camera will pan around the room to give a full view of the scene. Finally the camera will turn to Charlie and Kai.  Scene Two- The second scene will start with Charlie introducing himself. Intro Blog

Hello, I am Marvin and I am the son of a full Haitian dad and a full African-American mother. I am the oldest child out of all my siblings. On my mom's side I have a little sister named Malaysia and I have a 3 month old brother on my dad's side named Mayson. In the future, I hope to be a lawyer and maybe even go into politics.  I am not sure what type of lawyer I want to be yet due to the vast variety of types of lawyers there are or what law school I would want to go to. For undergraduate if I stay in state I for sure want to go to the University of Florida. If I'm being optomisitc, I would love to be able to go to an Ivy League school for undergraduate school but using my bright futures might be the best option. Right now, I am currently the Class of 2025 President and I am also apart of the Mock Trial Team. My favorite part of being on the mock trial team is the people for sure, they always have the best jokes and are very supportive of anything anyone does. I like being...

Creative Critical Reflection Blog

CCR BLOG   1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent   social groups or issues?   Our commercial product both uses and challenges commercial conventions. In normal school PSA's, they will usually have some type of message at the end. Within our commercial, we made sure to end our commercial with the message we wanted to get across which was to promote our mock trial team and we ended it with the introduction of all together as one. In one way it challenges conventions because usually school PSA's use normal clothing such as t-shirts, hoodies, pants, etc. Our commercial we took that typical clothing up a notch, and we wore our court attire because it matched more the school PSA we wanted to get across. I think our commercial represents social groups because it shows a group of people who are apart of a team and the group is diverse as well and shows representation. 2.
